Dr.
Colleen Crist received her Bachelor of Science
degree in Biology from the
University
of
Nevada,
Reno,
in 1999. She then attended
Kansas
State
University
College
of
Veterinary Medicine
where she was awarded her Doctorate in
Veterinary Medicine in 2003.
Dr.
Crist then moved with her husband, Dustin, also
a graduate from
Kansas
State
Veterinary
School, to
Newport News,
Virginia. There she practiced at a small animal
clinic for 3 years and Dustin practiced as an
ambulatory equine veterinarian.
Wanting
to be closer to family, Dr. Crist and her
husband decided to move to
Reno,
Nevada in 2006. Dr. Crist and her husband
live in Cold Springs where they reside
with 2 cats, Woody
and Slate. Dr. Crist's interests in
veterinary medicine include internal medicine,
dentistry, dermatology, and soft tissue
surgery. She recently started pursuing
credentials and requirements to become a Fellow
of the Academy of Dentistry. Outside of work, she enjoys
spending time with her family, camping, jogging,
hiking, reading, and baking.
