| Kelly MacLellan DVM, DACVS Dr.
Kelly MacLellan is a native Canadian and comes to us
from Nova Scotia. Dr. MacLellan received her
Bachelor of Science and Renewable Resources from
McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. She then
completed a joint Master’s degree in Avian Physiology and Toxicology from McGill and University
of Davis California. The University of Prince Edward
Island which is the home of the Atlantic Veterinary
College, awarded her a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Degree and a concurrent MRCVS from the Royal College
of Veterinary Surgeons in the United Kingdom. After
a private practice surgical internship, she then
went on to complete a Large Animal Surgery Residency
and a second Master’s Degree in Veterinary Science
and Immunology from the Western College of
Veterinary Medicine in Saskatchewan. Dr MacLellan
became a Diplomate of the American College of
Veterinary Surgeons and a Board Certified Surgeon in
2004. Since completing her education Dr. MacLellan
has lived and worked around the world teaching at
various veterinary colleges and private practices.
Upon settling in Reno, she spends her free time
ridding her horses and exploring the Tahoe hiking
trails in the area with her collection of hounds. |
