Urinalysis, or the analysis of urine, tells us about by-products from many organs which include the kidneys and liver.  Urine gives us information about your animals hydration status and its liver and kidneys. We can diagnose many diseases, such as liver disease, diabetes, and kidney disease through urinalysis. We can also determine if your animal is dehydrated.

Feces: We recommend having feces checked and analyzed to determine whether your animal has an intestinal parasite, bacterial overgrowth, blood, or other intestinal problems.  This is an important part of diagnostic workups and even routine exams. For more information on parasites and zoonotic disease (contractible to human)  Click Here.
Ear cytology: You'll probably be asked if your dog or cat has been shaking his head or scratching at his ears and if you have noticed any odor coming from the ears. Your pet's deep, curved ear canals provide protection for the inner ear, but can be a snug home for parasites, microbes (bacteria/yeast), and foreign objects. The veterinarian will perform a thorough examination of the inner ear canal including and ear cytology.  To learn more about your pet’s ears and what may be inside of them
