03. February 2007A three year old neutered male Border Collie was presented with a fractured right mandibular canine tooth with pulp exposure.
04. March 2007This patient was the subject of our January 2007 Case of the Month. This is a female German Wirehaired Pointer that had originally presented with base narrow deciduous canine teeth which were contacting the hard palate and causing palatal trauma.
05. April 2007A two year old neutered male Golden Retriever presented with marked gingival recession and root exposure of the left maxillary 1st molar. The exposed roots showed significant deposition of calculus.
06. May 2007An eight month old spayed female Siberian Husky presented with a history of a large oral mass located apical to the right maxillary canine tooth (104).
07. June 2007A nine month old male Chihuahua presented with multiple missing teeth. During the initial oral examination with the patient awake, it was determined that the first and third maxillary premolars were missing bilaterally.
08. July 2007A six month old female Standard Poodle presented with a Class II malocclusion with bilateral base narrow mandibular canine teeth contacting the hard palate, resulting in palatal trauma.
09. August 2007A four year old neutered male Rottweiler was presented for evaluation and treatment of an infected sinus tract in the area between the left maxillary second incisor and the left maxillary canine.
10. September 2007A seventeen month old spayed female Boxer presented with an acute swelling of the side of the left mandible at the level of the buccal frenulum.
11. October 2007A ten year old neutered male Maltese presented with an enamel defect on the buccal surface of the left mandibular canine tooth.
12. November 2007A six month old female German Shepherd presented with bilateral retained mandibular deciduous canine teeth. Both teeth had transverse fractures of the cusps with pulp exposure and as a result, both were non-vital.
13. December 2007A three year old spayed female Norwich Terrier was presented by the owner for a dental prophylaxis with no specific concerns regarding her oral health.
14. January 2008A four year old spayed female mix breed canine weighing 8.8 pounds was referred for evaluation and treatment of a swelling of the left ventral mandible in the vicinity of the 1st molar.
15. Febuary 2008A 20 month old spayed female Great Dane presented with a missing left mandibular canine tooth. The patient was placed under general anesthesia and a complete oral examination was performed. The left mandibular 3rd incisor showed extrinsic staining and a deformity of the cusp on the distal margin. No other oral pathology was found.
16. March 2008A ten year old female Gordon Setter was referred for an intermittent left infraorbital swelling. Fourteen months prior to this referral, the left maxillary 4th premolar(208) had been severely fractured resulting in significant loss of tooth structure.
17. April 2008A four year old male Manx presented with a small inflamed mass of the buccal gingival tissue just below the left mandibular molar.
18. May 2008A ten year old neutered male Rottweiler Mix was presented with a discolored right mandibular canine tooth.
20. June 2008A nine year old spayed female Lab presented for an oral examination and dental prophylaxis. It was evident upon the initial exam that the distribution of calculus was heavier on the left side of the mouth than on the right side.
