Surgical Services

Safety and your pet's comfort is our top priority. Your pet's doctor and surgical technician will be there from check in to check out. Blood work is completed prior to every anesthetic procedure to make sure your pet's internal organs are functioning properly. Medications are administered which control pain and relieves anxiety. We will place an IV catheter which allows emergency vein access and supports body temperature and blood pressure throughout the day. Once the procedure begins, your pet will be monitored closely by a licensed veterinary technician who will continually monitor ECG, oxygen saturation, pulse rate, respiration, temperature, and blood pressure.

Advances in anesthetic medications, monitoring, and recovery have significantly reduced the associated risks. When you put your trust in CAH for an anesthetic procedure, you can be assured they will receive the same care and attention as our own pets would.
